Mental Capacity Act – Best Interest Decisions About Day-to-Day Care and Support

This module will be of particular use to care support workers and care assistants as well as other social care staff. The module explores what the Act means by ‘best interests’ as well as when best interests decisions need to be made. If a person lacks capacity to make their own decision then others can make it on their behalf, but this must be done in the best interest of the person concerned using the least restrictive operation.

Module 3 of The Mental Capacity Act suite from the Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE).
